This Little Rock star is usually found along the coast where I live but this guy comes inland every spring and hangs out at the same park I've never see a female with him in all 4... This Little Rock star is usually found along the coast where I live but this guy comes inland every spring and hangs out at the same park I've never see a female with him in all 4 years I've gone to see him. Maybe she's just hides extremely well and never comes out or maybe he's just a bachelor for life either way he sure does draw a crowd

A great day of birding got green heron and lifer black poll warbler and got to go see the Little Rock star painted bunting that's a yearly rare visitor for me he shows up every ye... A great day of birding got green heron and lifer black poll warbler and got to go see the Little Rock star painted bunting that's a yearly rare visitor for me he shows up every year at the same park. I've never seen a female with him so I'm not sure why he returns year after year but this is atleast the 5th year he's returned. Here's a photo from last year since I haven't gotten today's shots off my camera yet

Love going to this spot yearly and seeing the herons on their nest.
